Cascina San Michele
Marco Minnucci embarked on his winemaking journey in Costigliole d'Asti in 2010, culminating in the opening of Farmhouse Cascina San Michele in 2015 with his partners. This Piedmontese winery boasts vineyards exclusively located within the Costigliole d'Asti area, nestled between the prestigious Langa and Monferrato regions. Here, a diverse array of indigenous grape varieties thrive, including Barbera, Dolcetto, Nebbiolo, Brachetto, Bonarda, and Cortese.
Cascina San Michele maintains its vineyards with a strictly organic approach, prioritizing minimal intervention to allow the vines to naturally express their unique character each year while ensuring healthy yields. Their winemaking philosophy is rooted in minimalism: fermentations rely solely on natural yeasts, and no substances are added that could alter the wine's intrinsic qualities. Sulfur levels are kept below half the legal limit, and the wines are non-filtered, resulting in truly terroir-driven, expressive wines that perfectly echo Marco's vibrant personality.
